Marin County communities are set to receive more than $10 million in state funding — and maybe nearly $10 million more later this year — for a variety of transportation projects that are several years in the making. The projects including new paths, transit improvements, bike lanes, traffic congestion relief and housing planning near transit hubs. The Metropolitan Transportation Commission — a planning agency for the nine-county Bay Area — approved $10.2 million in state grants to eight Marin projects in San Rafael, Novato, Corte Madera and other areas of the county.
